Maybrat Residents Glad Their Stalls Were Repaired by the Habema Task Force

PAPUA - The high level of care and solidarity shown by the soldiers of Yonif 501/BY as one of the Units of the HABEMA Operation Command in Papua, when helping the community in Maybrat Regency, West Papua, repair stalls that were hit by cars. The incident resulted in severe damage to stalls owned by local residents that are usually used to sell daily necessities.

As a form of concern for the social conditions of the local community, TNI soldiers led by the Commander of the Maybrat Post immediately intervened to provide assistance. The soldiers quickly worked together to repair the damaged parts of the stall, including repairing the roof, walls, and shelves of goods that were destroyed by the impact on January 28, 2025

This activity received appreciation from local residents. "We are very grateful to the TNI Soldier Habema Yonif 501/BY who was quick to respond to help us. Without their help, our stall may take a long time to repair, " said Ibu Maria, the owner of the stall that was the victim of the collision.

The action also strengthened good relations between the TNI and the people in West Papua. Previously, Yonif 501/BY was also known to be active in various social activities, such as mutual cooperation, health counseling, and education to the community in the region.

This activity further affirms the TNI's commitment to creating closeness with the community and helping to accelerate post-incident recovery, while proving that the TNI is not only a security guard, but also a friend of the people.

Separately, the Commander of HABEMA, Brigadier General of the Indonesian Armed Forces Lucky Avianto, after receiving a report on the implementation of the activity, appreciated the initiative of the Yonif 501 Kostrad Task Force in collaboration with the community to carry out the repair of residents' houses in the Maybrat district of West Papua.
